Marie Anton

Marie A. Anton, 100, passed away Saturday (April 30, 2016) at Mystic Meadows in Little Egg Harbor.  Born and raised in Elizabeth, she lived there before moving to South River in 1962.

Marie attended beauty school and had her own shop in Elizabeth. She had also worked for Schlumberger – Weston Instruments in Newark.

She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Palmer (and her husband, Ronald); her sisters, Bertha Hendricksen and Adele Wehrle; her granddaughter, Karen Chilson (and her husband, Allen); and great-grandsons, AJ and RJ Chilson.

The funeral will be from Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave., Clark on Wednesday May 4th at 10 AM followed by a funeral Mass at St. Adalbert’s R.C. Church, 250 E. Jersey, Elizabeth at 11 AM.  Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Viewing Tuesday from 4 PM to 7 PM.
