Jose Torres Goncalves, 76

Jose Torres Goncalves, 76, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his home in Clark.  Born and raised in Portugal, he had lived there until coming to the United States in 1969.  He settled in Irvington before moving to Clark in 1980.

Jose worked as a Union Carpenter in NYC with Local # 157 before retiring.

Jose was predeceased by his parents, Manuel and Maria Rosa Goncalves.  He is survived by his loving wife, Maria A. Goncalves; his son, Rui Goncalves; his brother, Domingos Goncalves; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The funeral will be on Saturday, November 14th from Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave. at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:45AM at St. Agnes R.C.
