John Novak, Jr.

John Novak, Jr., 81, passed away peacefully Thursday (April 7, 2016) at Haven Hospice. He was a lifelong resident of Linden before moving to Clark five years ago.

John was a proud veteran of the US Army, having served from 1957 to 1959. He was the successful business owner of Michelle’s Place Tavern in Elizabeth for 25 years before retiring in 1999. He was also a former member of the Retired Men’s and Ladies Club of Elizabeth.

John was predeceased by his wife, Marion, who died in 2013. Surviving are his loving daughter, Michelle Novak Bischoff (and her husband, Robert); his sister, Ann Jupka; and his niece, Vianca Jupka.

The family will receive friends form 12 noon until 2 PM at Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave., Clark, on Sunday April 17th. A prayer service will be held immediately following at 2 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Star Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 301, Linden, NJ 07036.
