Ray, you were one of my oldest friends starting out in Mt. Carmel Elementary School in Douglasville, GA. You were a good friend all the way through our graduation from DCHS. You were a great athlete. I have proof of that in a permanent knot on my forehead where I stepped right into a full baseball swing after you hit a home run. I wear my knot with pride because my friend Ray gave it to me. You are going to be greatly missed.we hadn't seen each other for years, but we both knew we would be there if needed. My heart breaks for the pain Paula is feeling. Remember, every time I spoke with him, he told me all about the most beautiful girl in the world, Paula. He loved you with all his heart. He told me how you raised those children with great love and could have not loved them anymore. He grew up to be a fine man and I will always be proud that he called me a friend.
