Tom Chin, age 81, of Clark, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021, at the JFK Medical Center, Edison.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Yun and Jan Chin, he has resided in Clark for over 50 years. Tom honorably served in the US Navy from 1961-1968 as a Machine Technician 3rd Class. Tom worked as a service technician for Pitney Bowes Inc. of Cedar Knolls for over 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion of Clark Post 328 and was the captain of the Union County Seniors Golf Team at Oak Ridge/Galloping Hill Golf Course for over 20 years. He was an avid golfer and was very proud of his two holes in one. He also enjoyed bowling, cooking, and watching his favorite sports team, the New York Yankees.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years NgeokFar (Jeannie) Chin (nee Sai); three children, Matthew Chin and his wife Malinda, Karen Chin and her fiancé Chris Morrison, Kelly O’Brien and her husband Corey; one sister May Pong; four grandchildren, Evan “E.J” Chin, Kimberly Chin, Jeffrey Chin, and Madison O’Brien.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Thursday September 23, 2021, from 1- 8 pm, at the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066. Visiting hours will continue on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 9:30 am- 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 am. Interment, Hazelwood Cemetery, Clark. As per the family's request, please wear a mask at all times during the Visitation and Funeral Service.
