Stella Smith

Stella Smith, 96, passed away peacefully on June 6, surrounded by her loving family. Born September 11, 1918, she lived in Linden for 30 years before moving to Clark in 1948.
The funeral will be on Wednesday 9 am from Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave, Clark, with Mass following at St. John the Apostle RC Ch., in Linden at 10 am. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 – 8 pm at the funeral home .Donations in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital PO Box 1000 Dept 142 Memphis, TN 38101 would be appreciated. Stella was a parishioner of St. John the Apostle since 1948.An avid reader, seamstress and bowler she retired her bowling ball last year at age 95.
Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2004 after 59 years of marriage, and 2 grandchildren, James and Lisa. She is survived by her children John and Michele Smith, Nancy and Moussa Amer, Joseph Smith Jr and Anita Hallard, and Cynthia and Peter Ballas; her grandchildren Diane, Youssef, Simon, Noah, Adam, Theodore, Alexander, and Nicholas; great grandchildren Jessica and Deven; and a great great grandson Joseph.
