Robert E. "Bob" Weber, age 57, of Clark, died suddenly on Friday January 4, 2019, at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Rahway, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Rahway to Thomas J. and Joan Weber, Mr. Weber was raised in Linden and has since resided in Clark for the past 34 years. Mr. Weber was a 36 year employee of PSE&G at the Linden Generating Station where he worked as an electrician. He was a proud member of IBEW Local Union 94 where he held various positions throughout his career. Mr. Weber served the local and their membership as Shop Steward, Executive Board Member, and in 2013 was appointed as full time business representative, a position he currently held. He also served on the Passaic County Central Labor Council and the NJDEP Clean Air Council. Mr. Weber was a member of the Clark Democratic Committee, the Lacey Elks Lodge #2518, the Linden Moose Lodge, and was a member of the Honorary Clark PBA 125.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Tuesday January 8, 2019, from 8:30-10:30 am, at the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, thence to St. John the Apostle R.C. Church, Linden, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am. Cremation services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad 875 Raritan Road Clark, NJ 07066.
Mr. Weber is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years Ellen M. Weber (nee Erichsen); mother Joan (nee Ligush); 1 son and pal Robert T. Weber; Mother in law Theresa Erichsen; godmother Aunt Jane Weber; 1 sister Cindy Deegan (Brian); 4 brothers Thomas (Mary), Richard (Donna), Michael (Judy) and Stephen; 1 sister in law Gina Silance (Thomas); 2 brothers in law Eugene (Jill) and Terry Erichsen (Anne); he is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives. He was predeceased by his father the late Thomas J. Weber.
Bob was just a great guy and will be missed dearly. He loved spending time with his son, playing golf, on the water, watching sports, especially the NY Giants, or just tinkering around.
