Patrick J. Dillon

Patrick Dillon, age 57, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 27, 2023, at the Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark, and he was surrounded by his family. Friends and family will remember him as a sweet and wonderful man who loved his family deeply.

Patrick was born and raised in Jersey City, to Martin and Maureen Dillon, and he was the youngest of their three children. He has resided in Clark for the past 13 years. Mr. Dillon worked as a signalman for NJ Transit of Newark for over 20 years and he was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalman Local # 84.

Patrick was an avid bowler for over 40 years, having learned the sport from his father, Marty. He participated in many leagues throughout his lifetime and after bowling several 299 games, in 2009 he threw his first 300. He dedicated his accomplishment to his late father Marty. Patrick passed his love of the sport onto his son Matthew, and they enjoyed many hours together at Linden Lanes.

Patrick Dillon was predeceased by his parents Martin and Mary “Maureen” Dillon. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 12 years Debra; his cherished son, Matthew; his older brother Michael Dillon (Desiree); and sister Kathy O’Neill (Sean); one niece, Marissa Dillon; and two nephews, Angelo Dillon, and Michael Mora. Mr. Dillon also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins in County Clare, Ireland.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Sunday October 1, 2023, from 3-7 pm, at the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066. A Funeral Ceremony will begin on Monday October 2, 2023, at 9:15 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, from St. Hedwig’s R.C. Church, Elizabeth. Entombment, St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
