Patricia (Chmiel) Krowicki

Patricia Krowicki (nee Chmiel), age 81, passed away on Friday July 7, 2023 at the Center for Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, Scotch Plains.

Born in her family home, to Gustav and Pauline Chmiel, she was a lifelong resident of Linden, NJ.

Patty played a vital role in her husband's funeral home, which he established in 1981, offering administrative support while he dedicated his time to serving families. She also poured her love into raising her two children in Linden, NJ. From dance recitals to soccer and rugby games to swim meets, she was their biggest cheerleader, showing up with unwavering support.

A woman with a deep love for the New Jersey shore and her beloved beach house in Lavallette, every summer Patty eagerly anticipated the arrival of warm weather and the opportunity to spend time by the beach with her friends and grandchildren. Her connection to Lavallette was more than just a seasonal retreat; it held a special place in her heart.

Patty had a remarkable network of friends. Throughout her life, she cultivated deep and lasting friendships, forging bonds that withstood the test of time. Whether it was her neighbors in Lavallette or fellow parents in Linden, she had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Patty's friends knew they could count on her, whether it was for advice, a kind word, or a good laugh. Her friendship was a treasured gift, and her vibrant social circle was a testament to her ability to connect with others. Patty's friends were an integral part of her life, especially after the passing of her husband, and she cherished every one of them as family.

She is survived by her two children; Pamela L. Konops (Walter) and Jonathan C. Krowicki (Sarah); eight grandchildren; one sister Joan Buschor; one brother John Chmiel; and many nieces and nephews.

Patty is predeceased by her beloved husband Carl F. Krowicki (2003) and her brother-in-law Hermann Buschor (2016).

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Sunday July 16, 2023 from 12-3 pm and 6-8 pm at the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066. A Celebration of Life will be offered on Monday July 17, 2023 at 10:30 am. Interment, St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. In lieu of flowers, kindly offer donations in her name to the Center for Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1900 Raritan Road Scotch Plains, NJ 07076.
