Michael Joseph O'Neill

Michael Joseph O’Neill, 61, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at Delaire Nursing Home in Linden. Born in Orange, he was a lifelong resident of Rahway.

Michael graduated from Union Catholic High School in 1975 and received his BA in Business Administration from Montclair State College in 1979. He was employed as a lottery sales representative with NJ State Lottery for many years. He had also worked as a security guard with St. Barnabas Medical Center.

Michael was an avid sports fan of the New York Rangers, Jets and Yankees. At Union Catholic he played varsity basketball and baseball. He was also known for his sense of humor and was a good friend to everyone that he met during his lifetime.

Surviving are his sister, Kathleen O’Neill of Belle Mead; his brother, Terrence (and his wife, Meredith) of Flemington; and two nieces, Allison and Heidi of Flemington. He was predeceased by his parents, Terrence Joseph in 1996 and Eleanor Irene O’Neill in 2011.
