Louise D Regeci

Louise D. Regeci passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2024.  She had just celebrated her 94th birthday. 

Louise will be missed and remembered by all whose lives she touched.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many.  Louise was a strong, independent and witty woman.  She voiced her opinion but yet would always listen to what others had to say - even if she disagreed. 

Louise was born in Elizabeth, NJ.  After graduating as valedictorian from St. Patrick's High School, she was employed as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Esso Industries. There she met and married Andrew Regeci.  They shared many years of happiness together.  Louise raised her family in Clark, NJ.  Subsequent to raising her family she returned to the work force as a Reservationist for Eastern Airlines. 

She loved her home and took great pride in decorating it for Christmas and preparing holiday meals for her family there.  As her family grew up and married, the dinner table just got larger.  Louise also enjoyed gardening.  Her tulips were the envy of the neighborhood each Spring when they bloomed. 

Louise loved to knit and spent many years knitting baby blankets that would then be donated to the NICU at St. Peter’s Hospital.  She enjoyed a good Scrabble game and was always questioning any unusual word her opponent would play.  You needed a proper hard covered dictionary when playing with Louise, using the Internet to search for definitions would never do.

Louise is preceded in death by Andrew Regeci, her husband.  She is survived by her five daughters; Andrea, Lisa, Elaine (Michael), Bettina (Bill) and Kristen (Chris), her six grandchildren: Bradley, Conor, Drew, Kylie, Jake and Jack,  three great grandchildren:  Madeline, Liam and Aria, and other extended family members.
