Dr. John Anthony Bronikowski passed away on April 18, 2022 at the age of 85.
John (“Jack) was born on February 15, 1937 in Bayonne, NJ and graduated from Bayonne High School in 1955, where he was voted Best Dressed and Friendliest. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University, a masters degree from St. John’s University and a D.O. from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Detroit Osteopathic Hospital and his fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.
Jack was an Internist and Pulmonologist in NJ, most recently at NJ HEART and primarily serving Union, Linden and surrounding areas. He was beloved by his colleagues and patients and known for his humor and empathy.
He was a lover of movies, books and sports. Jack was a football star at Bayonne High and later spent countless hours watching and coaching his children and grandchildren in their sports of choice.
He is blessed by the legacy of and is survived by his 6 children (Karen, Linda, Lori, Jeff, Carlene and Keith) and 10 grandchildren (Mikey, Andrew, Luke, Julia, Joey, Katie, Matthew, Jack, Amanda and Keith), all of whom reside in NJ. Jack is also survived by his partner, Amalia Laguna.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday April 23, 2022, at 9:45 am, at St. Agnes R.C. Church, Clark. Interment, Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066.
