Graciela (Hernandez) DaCosta

Graciela DaCosta (nee Hernandez), age 81, passed away on Tuesday April 9, 2024, at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Rahway.

Born in Caibarién, Villa Clara, Cuba, she resided in Elizabeth for many years before most recently residing in Clark since 1998. Mrs. DaCosta worked as a teacher’s aide for the Elizabeth Board of Education for over 20 years with children of various special needs in all grade levels.

Mrs. DaCosta is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years Olirio “Leo” DaCosta; two daughters, Angie Diaz Cowell (John) and Aleida Diaz; one granddaughter, Gracie.

She is predeceased by her parents Antonio and Esperanza Hernandez and three siblings, Lucy, Tony, and Lola.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Sunday April 14, 2024, from 1-3 pm, followed by a Prayer Service at 3 pm, at the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066. Cremation Services are Private.
