Dennis J. Lenard

Dennis J. Lenard, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at the Hackensack Meridian Ocean Medical Center, Brick.

Mr. Lenard was born in Elizabeth, to Alfred and Elsie Lenard, he resided in Andover, NJ for 40 years and for 28 years most weekends at the Jersey Shore in Loch Arbour. He graduated from St. Patrick’s H.S., Elizabeth, and was later inducted into their Basketball Hall of Fame. Mr. Lenard then graduated cum laude Boston University, MA, then Washington University School of Law, St. Louis, MO. He met his “Bride” Ellen and married her in 1984. Mr. Lenard practiced law for over 40 years, most of his time at his practice, McConnell, Lenard & Campbell of Stanhope and most recently for the County of Sussex prior to his retirement.

Dennis was bright, loving, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to entertain and open his house up to his family and friends. Dennis was a world traveler, civil war buff, and an avid NY Yankees and NY Knicks fan.

Mr. Lenard is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years Ellen M. (O’Brien); one sister, Lorraine Lenard; four sisters in law, Cathie Lenard, Maureen Toth and her husband Mike, Carolyn Reimer and her husband Bill, Nancy Danchetz and her husband Gabor; seven nieces and nephews, Michael Lenard and his wife Mary Ellen, Andrew Lenard and his wife Colleen, Michael Toth and his wife Jen, Matthew Toth, Christopher Danchetz and his wife Jen, Brian Danchetz and his fiancé Becca, and Melissa Toth; nine great nieces and nephews, Aiden, McKinley, Owen, Tessa, Thomas, Claire, Jack, Lucas, and Marcus. Mr. Lenard is predeceased by his parents Alfred and Elsie and his brother Fred Lenard.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Tuesday June 1, 2021, from 4-8 pm at the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066, face masks are recommended for all visitors. A Funeral Ceremony will begin on Wednesday June 2, 2021, at 9:30 am, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, from the St. Agnes R.C. Church, 332 Madison Hill Rd., Clark, NJ 07066. Interment, St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. In lieu of flowers, kindly offer donations to the American Heart Association
