Ann (nee) Peters Yarusavage passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the age of 95.
Born in Kearny, NJ to Anele & William Peters. She was the loving sister to the late Vincent Peters and Dorothy (Joseph) Halloran.
Beloved wife to the late Bernie Yarusavage for 55 years. She was the cherished mother of George (Colleen), of Norwalk, CT.; Ann Marie of Clark, NJ; Carol (Chris) Weilandics of Coram, NY; and Rita (Chris) Klotz of Branchburg, N.J.
Doting grandmother to Pete (Laura); Adam; Leigh; Nick (Jill); Jon (Michelle) and Marc (Amy).
Great-grandmother to Ethan, Nate & Ellie.
Proud aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Before becoming a full-time mom and wife, Ann worked for Bell Telephone, Newark, in the billing department, rising to supervisor, before marrying Bernie in 1949. She reentered the workforce as a volunteer at the Clark Public Library’s original storefront building, on Raritan Road. She became a regular employee when the library moved to its current location.
In addition to supporting Bernie as First Lady of Clark, Ann carved her own path in service to the community as member and officer in the St. John the Apostle Rosary Altar Society, Lady Elks; VFW Post #7363; Ladies Auxilliary of the Clark Fire Department; numerous PTAs in Clark; and, she served as a Cub Scout Assistant Den Leader.
A kind and generous soul. Ann took pride in her family, always remembering birthdays and special occasions, and gifting them with her beautiful knitting creations. Also a lover of mystery novels, crime shows, and Andre Rieuconcerts.
