Ann Marie (Buzis) Franz

Ann Marie Franz (nee Buzis), age 95, passed away on Tuesday March 31, 2020, at the Ashbrook Care and Rehabilitation Center, Scotch Plains.

Born in Elizabeth, to Charles and Anna, Ann Marie resided in Clark for 28 years before living with her daughter in Rahway. She worked as a factory worker for the Revlon Research Center in Edison for 15 years. Mrs. Franz was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus of Linden Post 2859 and Seniors Bowling at Linden Lanes.

Mrs. Franz is survived by one daughter, Susan Gillespie and her husband James; one son, Craig Franz (Peter Komelski);2 daughter in laws, Suzanne and Bernadette Franz; eight grandchildren Jason (Kimberly), Adam (Jessica), Alex, Jessica, Michael and Emily Franz and Olivia (Ryan) and Carly Gillespie; 4 great- grandchildren Shianne, Mia, Zoey, and Maverick Franz.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Jacob Franz (1999); two sons, Wayne (2016) and Bruce Franz (2016); one daughter Christine Franz (1959).

A Private Committal Service will be offered on Friday April 3, 2020 at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Plans for a Mass celebrating her life are postponed while the State of New Jersey endures the limitations surrounding travel and gatherings.
