Obituary
Alfonso “Alfred” F. Vito, passed away peacefully, at his residence on Tuesday August 16, 2022.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Ignatius and Nancy Vito, he resided in St. James, Ny for 24 years, Florida for 7 years, and most recently Toms River for the past 17 years. He worked as a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service of Lake Grove, NY for over 20 years. He enjoyed walking, biking, crabbing, cigars and Johnny Walker.
Mr. Vito is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Nancy Ann (nee Dean); four children, Katherine Gelling and her husband Doug, Kristen Matias and her husband Jose, Kimberly Lomeli and her husband Daniel, Frank Vito and his wife Lauren; one surviving sister, Mary Norwick; eleven grandchildren, Anthony and Daniel Matias, Samantha, Joseph, and Jack Lomeli, Sophie, Dean Drew, and Grant Gelling, Dominik and Jake Vito; one great grandchild, Isabella Matias.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday August 19, 2022, at the St. John Vianney R.C. Church, Colonia, at 10:45 am. Interment, St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. All arrangements are under the direction of the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066.
