Mr. Thaddeus J. Wojciak passed away Monday September 11th, 2017 at his home in Clark. He was 94 years old.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ to Andrew Wojciak and Salomeja Tomczyk Mr. Wojciak had been a Clark resident for the past 57 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army (1943-1946) during World War II as a Captain in the Medical Administration Corps in the European theater. A graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Elizabeth, Thaddeus went on to receive his Baccalaureate’s and Master’s degrees from the Newark College of Engineering. During his 42 year career as a project engineer with Union Carbide Corp. – Linde in Newark, he obtained 10 patents covering electrical welding torches. For a few years he also taught engineering at the Middlesex County Vocational School.
Mr. Wojciak was predeceased by his wife, Josephine in 1989; and by his brother, Edward Wojciak.
He is survived by his sons Robert Wojciak and his wife Nancy of Brick and William and his wife Donna of Yorba-Linda, CA; by his grandchildren Paul and wife Karen, Janene and her husband Luciano, Mark and wife Jennifer, Chris and wife Jamie, Billy, and Craig; great grandchildren Emily, Madison, Benjamin, Ashley, Alyssa, Kristina, and Henry; and by his brother Andrew Wojciak and his wife Marion of Bayville, NJ.
Friends and family will gather on Sunday September 17th from 2-6 pm at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 9:45 am Monday in St. Agnes Church on Madison Hill Road in Clark. Burial will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia.
