Mr. Thaddeus “Ted” Karaman, 87, passed away Sunday November 19th, 2017 In Elizabeth, NJ. Born in Jasliska, Poland to Thomas and Maria (Kozak) Karaman, he came to the United States as an infant. He’d been an Iselin resident for more than 55 years. Mr. Karaman served his country in the United States Army. He was employed as a tool and die maker for more than 45 years at the Singer Manufacturing Company in Elizabeth. He was a long time parishioner of St. Cecelia’s R.C. Church in Iselin, and a lifetime member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans Post 91.
Mr. Karaman was predeceased by his brothers, Michael and Joseph Karaman, and by his sister, Stella Adase.
He is survived by his wife 64 years, Jeanette Karaman; by their son Tedd Karaman of Egg Harbor and daughter Christine Bianchino and her husband Chuck of Flemington; by his step-grandchildren Amanda and Charlie; by his brothers John Karaman of Roselle Park and Henry Karaman and his wife Jeanette of Toms River, and sister Sophie Rawdow of New Egypt.
Visitation will be from 3-7 pm Friday at the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave Clark NJ 07066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10am Saturday in St. Cecelia’s Church in Iselin. Burial will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
