Rahway – Stanley W Pilch, 94, passed away on March 9, at his daughter’s residence in Branchburg. Born in Elizabeth he resided in Rahway for 62 years.
Visitation will be on Wednesday 6-9 PM at Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave, Clark. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church. in Rahway. Stanley was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy aboard the USS Biloxi as a Gunners Mate 2nd class where he saw action throughout the Pacific Campaign from 1943 to 1946. He retired in 1978 as a shipping manager for Simmons Mattress Co in Elizabeth. He enjoyed golf and bowling, was an avid NJ Devils hockey fan and traveled the world with his wife, Jean.
Mr. Pilch was predeceased by his loving wife Jean in 2011. He is survived by his daughter Carolyn Moore and his grandchildren Eric and Megan Moore.
