Judith Phillips, 72

Rahway – Judith Phillips, 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 3, 2017.  Born and raised in Elizabeth, she had lived in Rahway for over 40 years.

Judy was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Evor Phillips, who died last September; as well as her sister, Joyce Aucone and brother, Lt. John Casino. Surviving are her son, Brian; her daughter, Tracy Ortiz; her sisters, Joan Hendrzak and Janice Casino; her grandsons, Christopher and Matthew; and her Goddaughter, Kelly Stoffers.

Visitation will be on Sunday May 7th from 3 PM to 7 PM at Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave., Clark. The funeral will be from the funeral home on Monday at 9:45AM followed by a 10:45AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Vianney R.C. Church, Inman Ave., Colonia. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested gifts be made in memory of Judy to support the Thyroid Cancer Research Program at Penn Medicine. Check can be made payable to “Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania” and sent to Kate Dewees Detzel, Penn Medicine Development Office, 3535 Market St., Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
