Irene Josephine Cierpial

 Irene Josephine Cierpial 75, passed away on November 7, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York after a long illness. Born in Elizabeth she resided in Union.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14th from 3 – 7 PM at Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Avenue in Clark.  A cremation service will be held privately.  A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a future date. Irene was an animal lover, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to a local animal shelter or Adopt a Pet in her memory.  She would also have liked to donate to the Salvation Army during the Christmas Season and think of her.

Ms. Cierpial was employed at GAF Corporation in Linden for 12 years prior to retiring from CNJ/Conrail after 20 years working as a Stenographer/ Secretary.

Irene was pre deceased by her parents Augustyn and Aniela Cierpial. She is survived by her sister Suzann (Sue) Marshall; her loving companion of 43 years, Peter Smith; her nephew John C. Marshall and his wife, Kelli; and her great nephew Jack Hunter Marshall;
