Hermann Buschor
A true gentlemen. Hermann was born in Horgen, Switzerland on Lake Zurich on the 25th of February1936. He died on Thursday, the 1st of September 2016, after a very full life. Over the years, he was an executive in the transportation and fashion business in New York City. Finally, his love for the steel and oil and gas industry allowed him to travel the world on business which he enjoyed. He married Joan close to 50 years ago and they enjoyed their travels and working together in the oil and gas industry. A true love story which grew stronger over the years.
Besides all the love, support, guidance and wise advice he shared with family and friends he also provided moral support to the family members. He always showed kindness and was generous to others and always gave big hugs and smiles.
Hermann believed very strongly in education and how important this should be in one’s life. He loved tennis, oil painting, gardening and reading books when he found the time. He loved to make sure that people felt important and understood each other through communication. He always believed that another language is another life – he spoke several of them. He just loved life and was schooled in Maria Hilf College in Schwyz which gave him his Catholic Religious background with peace and support. Hermann was a member of the Military and Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem. He was the Commandery Receiver, Southwest.
