Rahway – Evor Robert Phillips, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 7, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Elizabeth, he has lived in Rahway for over 40 years.
He proudly served with the US Army before being honorably discharged. Evor worked for over 55 years as a truck driver for various companies, most recently for E.U.C Corporation in Piscataway.
Evor is survived by his loving wife, Judith Phillips; their children, Tracy Ortiz of Springfield and Brian Phillips of Rahway, and his two beloved grandsons, Christopher and Matthew Ortiz. He is also survived by his twin brother, David Phillips of Jackson. He was predeceased by his parents, David and Rita Phillips and his brother, John Phillips of Manchester.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-7PM at Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave., Clark. The funeral will be from the funeral home on Monday at 9:45AM followed by a 10:45AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Vianney R.C. Church, Inman Ave., Colonia. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
