Damiano J. Gerardi, 89

Rahway – Damiano J. Gerardi, 89, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at his home in Rahway. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he had lived in Rahway for the past 51 years.

Mr. Gerardi was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the US Army. He worked as a train conductor with the PATH train out of Newark for many years before retiring. He enjoyed watching old time movies and was an avid Yankee’s fan.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Accursia Maria Gerardi, who died in 2012. He is survived by his daughters, Antonina Memoli and her husband, Philip and Angela Shepard and her husband, Bob; his brother, Vincent Gerardi; and his grandchildren, Philip Memoli, and Dominique and Christiana Shepard.

Visitation will be at Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave., Clark on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral will be from the funeral home at 8:45am followed at a 9:45am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Clark. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Watchung.
