Claire J Kiempisty

Claire J. Kiempisty, 81, passed away Monday (November 6, 2017) at RWJ Hospital at Rahway. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Clark for over 50 years.

Claire was a longtime member of St. Agnes RC Church and enjoyed cooking, knitting and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed walking on beach in North Wildwood.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph; her children, Joseph (and his wife, Linda), Marc, Linda Melnick (and her husband, Michael); and Bernadette Kiempisty-Lachowski (and her husband, Ziggy); her brothers, John and Frank Smentkowski; nine grandchildren, Lori, Katie, Joshua, Mitchell, Victoria, Melissa, “AJ”, Allison and Zackary; and three great grandchildren, Joseph, Jovanni and Jidenna.

The funeral will be from the Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave., Clark, on Friday, November 10th from 9 AM followed by a funeral Mass at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Clark at 9 :45 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.
