Cindy Stephens

Cindy Lynn Stephens, 53, passed away peacefully Friday (December 11, 2015).  Born in Orange, she grew up in Clark and graduated from Arthur L. Johnson High School.  She had resided in Point Pleasant for over 30 years.

After High School, Cindy, attended Union County VoTech and was certified as a respiratory therapist. She was employed at Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside before going to work at Community Memorial Hospital in Toms River where she worked for 27 years.

She loved the beach, doing yoga, dogs, crafting and was a big Springsteen fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Dorothea; and her brother, Keith. She is survived by her sister, Diane Thomson (and her husband, Edward); her nephews, Brian and Scott; her niece, Nicole; and five great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave., Clark, on Tuesday at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Visitation will be Monday from 7 PM to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Plainfield Area Humane Society, 75 Rock Ave., Plainfield, NJ 07060.
