Clark NJ- Born in Elizabeth, former resident of Middleburgh,NY, lifetime resident of Clark. 
Chris "Lumpy" Hofschneider's life devotion was designing and building custom guitars. He was an avid musician. He had a love and passion for the great outdoors. 
Chris was predeceased by his beloved father William C. Hofschneider. 
Chris is survived by his daughter Valerie Hofschneider and son Jeremy Frank, his devoted mother Margaret Hofschneider, his former wife Laura Hardon, Jeremy Frank's wife Lauren and grand-children Elizabeth, Lori & Grace, his siblings Gale & Kevin Maloney, Karen & Frank Martino, Patrick & Lisa Hofschneider, Uncle Kurt & Susan Hofschneider, his nieces and nephews Marissa, Frank & Amanda Martino, Zachary & Lindsey Hofschneider. He is survived by many colleagues and friends. 
Chris was always quick with a joke and he would give you the shirt off his back. 

Visitation will be held Sunday 3-7PM at Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave, Clark. A private service will be on Monday 10AM with cremation to follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad (www.clarkems.org) or to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
