Carmen “Nutch” Araneo, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 18, 2015 at Haven Hospice at JFK in Edison. Born in Elizabeth, he had lived in Clark for many years.
He was a veteran, having served with the US Army and the Army Reserves. Carmen was inducted into the Elizabeth Hall of Fame and the NJ Amateur Softball Association Hall of Fame in 2004/2005. Carmen was the owner of Araneo’s Sanitation Company in Elizabeth for many years before retiring.
He is survived by his three daughters: Doreen Caporaso and her husband Michael, Christine Araneo, and Susan Fields and her husband Kurt, and cherished grandfather of Michael, Jamie, Karmen, Stefanie, and Kassie.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, from 11am-1pm at Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave, Clark. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice at JFK, 65 James Street Edison NJ 08818.
