Anna Rudo

Anna (Leso) Rudo passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in her home in Clark with her loving family by her side.  She was born in Kiblary, Czechoslovakia, and came to the United States as a young woman and became an American citizen. She was welcomed here by family members. She initially resided in New York City where she met her husband, John. They lived in Linden for many years and eventually moved to Clark. They were devoted parents to Joseph, Ann Marie, and Elizabeth. They valued education and all three children earned advanced college degrees.  They were parishioners at St. Peter and Paul’s in Elizabeth for over 40 years before retiring to Clark and joining the parish at St. Thomas the Apostle in Rahway. Anna and John were dedicated parishioners until his passing in 2004. She continued after his death and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Anna was a devout Catholic, loved God and was devoted to her family. She loved living in America, always producing a bountiful garden, and cooking and baking, especially for her family. Anna is preceded in death by her beloved husband John and her siblings.  She is survived by her loving children, son Joseph Rudo, daughters Ann Marie Howlett and Elizabeth Pentz, 7 cherished grandchildren and 9 precious great grandchildren. She will be dearly and deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church 1410 St. Georges Ave., Rahway, on Friday, May 19th at 10 AM  Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be at Krowicki Gorny Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave., Clark, on Thursday from 4 PM to 8 PM with Parastas services at 7 PM.
